In April 2010, We Give Books launched its campaign which features a growing digital library of classic stories you can read with your child for free whenever you like, no matter where you are. For more than a year, it featured 'Corduroy Lost and Found'. Each time you read a great book We Give Books will give a brand new book to a child in need. In all the program has generated over 3 million book donations so far. Corduroy is thrilled!
In his anniversary year, Corduroy was host to Jumpstart's Read for the Record campaign. Jumpstart's campaign raised more than $1.5 million for early education programs in low-income communities while drawing national attention to the country's early education crisis.
Spielzeit Psychotherapy is the main project of the M.-L. von Franz Institute for Studies in Synchronicity ('Spielzeit' means play-time). It offers a broad spectrum of support for children and adolescents that are physically/mentally challenged, seriously ill or traumatized. As a well-known competence center it features play therapy, parental and educational guidance, school-psychological services, aggression intervention and violence prevention programs and more.
Spielzeit's research division performs psychotherapeutic process research and longitudinal studies and explores new treatment methods to support children and adolescents affected by illness or mental/physical challenges. Some of their findings are open to the public and are listed in their knowledge base. Recently, spielzeit-research.org has been asked by the Israeli Ministry of Social Affairs to develop a program to help mentally challenged individuals deal with aggression (www.aggrip.net).
Last but not least, the Institute also performs basic research into the area of synchronicity.
